“They’re Perfect!”

One thing I pride our workflow for, is customizing a smile for someone. This is not an off-the-shelf product; every patient is so different and the smile has to be shaped just for them!

This patient came to us with partials that did not serve her well. She had some dental work done, lost her posterior support, and had failing restorations in the anterior. After discussing her options, we agreed full arch implants could be a great option for her.

She came in, we did upper and lower hybrid surgery, placed our implants, and printed her temporaries. We based the temps on where her old teeth were, while trying to improve incisal edge position and lip support. After 3 months, I just didn’t love the temps! She did, she almost cried seeing the temps for the first time, but I KNEW we could do better! We changed the arch form and brought the teeth back in, resetting the bite and transforming the way her smile looked!

The most incredible thing about these prosthetics to me is the material. They are made of a unique zirconia material called YML by Kuraray Noritake, which has a variable yttria content allowing for a different level of translucency and strength as you move from the incisal edge (very translucent) down to the body of the restoration (covered by pink). Without a doubt, these are the most esthetic monolithic zirconia restorations I have ever seen, and the patient agreed! Huge shoutout to @SynrgyLabs for the CAD/CAM and finishing!
