Try and Try Again

This awesome patient and I had a hard time getting to this final result!!

Not all cases are straight forward, and she did not have a lot of bone for us to work with when we got started! We used two angled implants in the posterior, but sadly despite no pain, one of them failed on her lower right. We tried again, and it failed again! Finally, after accessing some good bone adjacent to that site, we got her a nice solid foundation for her beautiful lower hybrid!

We re-made her teeth to control the bite, and got an awesome outcome. This case is a classic ‘lack of posterior support’ case – meaning that the patent did not have any back teeth to bite against the upper. We are thankful we could offer her a great solution with dental implants to be able to chew again!

If anyone tells you they have 100% success, they are lying. Things happen, these cases are hard! We are cheating or beating nature to get these results, and we have to respect that it will always be a journey! I never promise teeth in a day, we always say the magic happens in one day, but that it is a journey to get to the final results -and that we will always end up with a smile the patient is proud of!
