Upper and Lower Snap In

This was such a fun case and we enjoyed getting to know this patient! All of her remaining teeth were mobile and she had a hard time eating. The process of over-dentures can be long and somewhat difficult due to the time spent healing with a traditional denture. I was nervous we would have to make that process even longer with grafting in this case since the bone was so questionable. Thankfully, we were able to do some pretty heroic bone grafting at the time the teeth came out to get her four implants in the top and two on the bottom like she wanted!

On the lower, we placed two implants for the lower over-denture, and placed two mini implants to use during the time the larger implants integrated. Her bone density was so good that the mini implants remained integrated, so we used them for the final prosthetic too!

Final prosthetics were fabricated after everything healed! Upper over-denture made with a metal framework ‘horse-shoe’ due to favorable AP spread.
