Implant Bridge
It’s not often we get to take before and after photos on the same day, but this situation really worked out for it!
This patient came to us with an old FPD that had failed on his upper right quadrant. He already had implants in the 7 and 8 position, and was interested in getting teeth put back in the upper left. Thankfully when the teeth came out (before he came to us) they had done some grafting, so he had sufficient ridge height to support implants. We planned his case using a surgical guide which we 3D printed in-house based on the wax-up. We placed 2 BioHorizons implants and did do bone grafting at the time of implant placement, in order to make the ridge wide enough to support the thickness of hard and soft tissue needed for his implants.
Sadly, due to the bone grafting and length of the span, we really couldn’t do much for him during the temporary stage. Thankfully, he was already used to the space since the teeth had been extracted.
We waited 3.5 months and used the Ostell to measure how well the implants had integrated. We don’t leave that up to chance or guesswork – science tells us when the implants are ready to be loaded! Thankfully they all read in the 80’s, so we scanned for his restoration!
Midwest Dental Arts took our original waxup and made it even more functional and esthetic, and designed a screw retained implant bridge for him on our BioHorizons implants. The restoration seated like a dream, we adjusted the bite, and took the after photos!
Thanks for trusting us with your smile, and your bite! Huge shoutout to Midwest Dental Arts – this case was entirely digital and took about half a year, and turned out great!
